‘Vocari’
Exploring the duality and pulling forces of the natural world, ‘Vocari’ is an energetic drawing and a spiritual calling to place. A capsule collection to preserve all that transpired during 2022.
To end the year of 2022 and celebrate the launch of my new website, I have created a capsule collection entitled ‘Vocari’. The catalogue of works are now available for festive delivery.
‘Vocari’ stems from the Latin term, Vocation, and refers to ones ‘calling'. It feels important to mark this momentous transitory year for my practice, where I have been divided between two locations. Painting from my home studio in Black Rock yet simultaneously transforming our rural barn in Red Hill. I’m proud of the work and works in progress that have transpired this year, albeit mostly behind the scenes.
There has been an undeniable split and divide occurring between these two spaces with a metaphysical pull to our rural property since we first laid eyes on it. This body of work reflects this divide, an energetic drawing and a spiritual calling to place.
Often reflected in Landscape, the natural world is filled with duality and pulling forces. Where the sky and sea meet the horizon line, our orbiting sun and moon, the tides in motion and the almighty weather patterns driving up and down the atmosphere.
‘Vocari’ embraces an inner calling; to follow our instincts and give energy back to those soft wayward whispers calling us into our authentic selves.
