Inspired by dream states, Nowlan presents 'Undulations & Apparitions'. Fluid with a soft sense of movement, each artwork investigates a figure drifting to sleep.
'Weaving the essence of drifting to sleep, daydreaming and letting one's imagination flow through the fabric of the piece. Often only fleeting, our dreams are abstract and hard to piece together. There is no rhyme or reality, yet they are woven by our subconscious while we rest and recover. There is a movement within the works, a sense of transformation and the ephemeral. Poetic and meditative, both artworks build a narrative between day and night, awake and asleep, light and shadow. The compositions are in perpetual movement, undulations that feel like apparitions or intangible dream states.'
